I was a little nervous coming to the restaurant knowing this place is originally in Texas, I wasn’t sure it would be done justice in Fairfield. I stand corrected! The location has a counter you order at. PLEASE NOTE IT IS CARD ONLY NO CASH! Once you order you sit and get served. Originally a huge group of my family came in and everyone raved about how great the place was! Although the wait for the food was long once they got it everyone loved it! We came again for dine in on a Thursday and found out it was takeaway day. Essentially no table service, your food comes in a takeaway container but you are welcome to sit and eat in restaurant. This didn’t bother me because I didn’t have to ask for a to go container but for those who don’t like this come on another day. We ordered the fish, chicken, mac & cheese, rice & white gravy (DEFINITELY get extra gravy), cornbread, and hush puppies. Let me tell you -THE FLAVOR WAS THERE! I don’t ever eat ppl fish because it usually isn’t seasoned enough but they did their thing with this! Loved everything we had I’d definitely recommend hush puppies over cornbread. The only complaint I have is that sides weren’t very warm which can easily be fixed by ensuring temp checks to make sure it stays hot. The service was friendly you were greeted when you came, checked on as you stayed, and spoken to before leaving. I don’t usually eat out for soul food because no one does it better than family at home but I will absolutely be coming back with family and friends to aunt bills again! 100% recommend!

The whole experience was wonderful. When you come in they greet you and make you feel like you’re at home. The food was delicious. Our sever was very nice and recommended we tried a lot of things. We ended up trying the brisket fries, they were salty and so good. We also tried the chicken wings and fish. Sides is Mac and cheese, cornbread dressing, greens, red beans and rice, yams and fried okra. With hush puppies. 10/10 will be coming back again.

Hospitality is on point. Food is absolutely delicious. Choosing just two sides is the hardest part. The lemonade was fire. Darius was our server and he’s got great customer service. As a matter of fact, just ask for him. Seriously, the soul food around.

This was our first time eating there since it changed ownership. The atmosphere was okay with booths and tables, in which we sat in a booth. Not too crowded and the greeting was excellent. The colors were purple and black, I like both colors, but I bleed 49er red and gold. We ordered for here and to go orders. I got the Oxtails and they were delicious. They give you a lot and I had leftovers. My sides were greens and Mac and cheese, both good and not salty at all. The hush puppies were awesome with bits of corn inside. The other meal was the Basa, which was badass. Not too heavy on the batter and cooked fresh. The sides were Red beans and rice and greens. The Purple Rain drink, Lavender lemonade was good. We got Chicken wings for the to go orders with sides of greens and deviled egg potato salad(loved). The other sides were greens and Mac and cheese. I truly recommend this Soul Food restaurant and will be going back frequently to try other dishes.

**A Must-Try Dining Experience in Solano County** I recently had the pleasure of dining at this incredible new restaurant, on 6/1/2025 to celebrate our Moms 83rd birthday and I must say, it exceeded all expectations! The food was simply outstanding—my shrimp and grits were perfectly seasoned and rich in flavor, and to my surprise, the dish also included 2 large beautifully fried fish fillets that was moist, crispy, and absolutely delicious. The service was impressively quick, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Every bite tasted incredibly fresh, a testament to the high-quality ingredients and attention to detail in every dish. Adding to the warmth of the atmosphere, the head chef personally greeted guests, creating a welcoming and personable touch that truly sets this place apart. This is undoubtedly the **new go-to spot** for both Solano County locals and visitors alike. If you're searching for phenomenal food, excellent service, and a charming ambiance, look no further—this restaurant is a gem!

I’ll Start with the ordering process was super easy explained everything very well and super friendly at the cash register! Now let’s get this food, no disrespect, but goddamm who in the back cooking it’s gotta be someone’s great great great grandmother because this food is off the charts. I had the fins and feathers which came with a perfectly fried Big fish fillet and two golden brown perfectly crispy season two perfection, full-size wings. For my sides, I got the mac & cheese, which was Exploding with flavor and creamy I also got the candy yams, which were honestly the star of the show because I’ve been craving some and these were perfect. You could taste all the spices in them, perfectly tender and a good portion With a perfect amount of sauce. This was not only a great experience for me but all of my coworkers we are working on Juneteenth and I told them it’s only right that we have some soul food so we chose this spot and you did not disappoint. Thank you.

10/10 from the time I walked in the greeting was hello family with a beautiful smile. Impressive. Sat down and Darius was my waiter and so so pleasant and patient with me since it was my first time there Then the manager CIA came and introduce herself. WOW I felt like I was getting VIP service. The food was on point. I was in town on vacay and the best soul food I’ve had in about 10 years. OMG. I left my event early just to go back and eat my leftovers. Food was so good I had to take a nap afterwards. Pictures don’t lie. This the real deal
